The Australian Federation of Travel Agents is pleased to announce that Expedia’s Travel Agencies Affiliate Program (TAAP) is now ATAS travel accredited.

TAAP provides travel agencies with the opportunity to utilise the resources of the largest full service online travel booking service in the world. Today, the online giant cements their competitive advantage by adding ATAS endorsement to their name.

“Expedia TAAP is committed to the Australian Travel fraternity and supporting ATAS accreditation is a significant step in that commitment,” said Stuart Udy who heads the TAAP program in ANZ.

“ATAS recognises Australian businesses which have sound operating practices & provides consumers and industry suppliers alike with a way to recognise those appropriately qualified and professional companies with whom they should be dealing,” said Gary O’Riordan, AFTA General Manager.

“We are very pleased that one of Australia’s leading online wholesalers has sought accreditation. Expedia has backed AFTA and see value in promoting the fact that they are ATAS accredited. We look forward to continuing our long standing partnership,” said O’Riordan.

“Over 2,200 travel agent locations across Australia are ATAS accredited and AFTA hopes that Expedia’s accreditation encourages other reputable online travel agents and suppliers to also seek ATAS accreditation,” said O’Riordan.
