VAX VacationAccess®, the leading agent-channel marketing and distribution platform, ended summer on a high-note with the completion of another successful installment of its annual Summer School program. Running from July 7th through August 29th, the series engaged over 5,000 travel agents across the United States.
During the eight-week “mini boot camp” VAX, along with 29 participating suppliers, delivered a total of 31 educational sessions ranging in topic from destination and property familiarization, to supplier updates and exclusive agent incentives. To make sure to accommodate all schedules, each session was offered live, as well as On-Demand within VAX University, so agents could attend when it worked best for their schedules. VAX also provided a Summer School Resource Center within VAX University to create one convenient point of access for participating supplier’s exclusive deals and links to the webinar registrations to qualify for the incredible supplier giveaways.
New this year, VAX also added a social media incentive. Any webinar attendee that posted a key learning from the week’s sessions via VAX Facebook was entered into a weekly drawing for a $25 “Extra Credit Cash” e-gift card.

VAX first embarked on this campaign in 2011 with a goal of bringing valuable supplier knowledge to travel agents of all experience levels, to help enhance career development with high quality industry learning opportunities. Three years later, the campaign has more than tripled the number of agent participants and continues to be a successful and appreciated education tool.
