Vegan agriturismo in Tuscany celebrates its opening after renovation
On May 12th 2018, the vegan agriturismo i pini celebrated its reopening after renovation, providing a new natural dining room as well as refurbished rooms and suites made of natural materials such as lime, clay, hemp and terracotta. For decades the agrivilla i pini had been used for the cultivation of organic wine and olive oil. In 2004, the country residence with 11 rooms was transformed into an agriturismo. Last winter, the second renovation took place according to the Biotique philosophy: sustainable, organic, regional, seasonal and handmade.
Unique, individual, regional
Both the used materials and the companies involved in the renovation were regionally sourced. In accordance with i pini’s philosophy of sustainability, recycled materials were used and the renovation works also included the restoration of furniture from the 16th and 17th centuries. Thus, every piece of furniture and room is unique. The handmade locks and doors from oak wood, the linen textiles, towels and bed linen are all made in the region. Moreover, fair-trade and organic quality are standard.
A great place for conscious travelers
With the restoration of the holistic vegan agriturismo a very special place had been created. Located in an idyllic setting, just one kilometre from the World Heritage Site of the medieval San Gimignano, i pini provides the perfect blend of culture, enjoyment and relaxation.
